hello everyone,
I’ve read a few posts already about the slow hiring process at ucla health, but I wanted to share my experience so far.
I applied to an RN position on 3/5, which was the same day the job was posted on the portal. I was notified that my application was sent to the hiring manager on 3/9. I then received an invitation to a virtual interview on 3/16 with the unit director and hiring manager, which I scheduled on 3/20. Then on 3/24, I received an email informing me that I had moved on to the reference checking process, which I had all my references complete within 24 hours of receiving that email.
On 3/30, I received a phone call from UCLA Health, which I thought was going to be a job offer, but was actually another invitation to a in person panel interview/tour of the unit. During this time, my application status on the portal changed from “reference check” to “interview.”
I went in person the next day on 4/1 for my interview, which I thought went pretty well! The next day, 4/2, my application status changed from “interview” to “interview / onboarding.”
Today is 5/7, and it has been completely silent. I haven’t heard from anyone since my in person interview, and my application status has been “interview / onboarding” since 4/2.
I already reached out 2 weeks ago to the talent acquisition member, who was previously responsive to my emails, but she has not replied to me at all.
I am a little concerned about the 5 weeks of silence, but my application status seems promising. I’m wondering if anyone else is waiting for a response?
I currently have about 3 years of experience, but not dedicated experience in this specific unit, so they did say my orientation would be similar to a new grad rn’s orientation. Maybe they are waiting to hiring me with a new grad rn cohort?
Any feedback or experience like this would be appreciated!
