Is this RM4,975 KL job offer worth relocating from Thailand for?

I’m Thai and received a customer service offer in Kuala Lumpur:
Basic salary: RM4,200
Fixed allowances: RM650
VPP: RM125, paid quarterly
Stated total: RM4,975
RM15,000 bond if I leave within the first year

I currently earn THB37,000 not including OT in Thailand and would need to relocate.

I may also initially have 30% non-resident tax deducted, which would significantly reduce my take-home salary.

Is this package enough to live comfortably in KL if I rent a room? Is the RM15,000 bond normal for foreign employees, and would you consider this offer worth relocating for?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

Is this RM4,975 job offer in Malaysia worth accepting with a RM15,000 employment bond?

I’m Thai and received a customer service offer in Kuala Lumpur:
Basic salary: RM4,200
Fixed allowances: RM650
VPP: RM125 quarterly
Total package: RM4,975
Employment bond: RM15,000 for the first year

I currently earn THB37,000 in Thailand and would need to relocate to Kuala Lumpur.

Is RM4,975 enough to live in KL if I rent a room?

Also, is a RM15,000 one-year employment bond normal for a foreign employee when the company sponsors the work visa? It means I would need to remain with the company for at least one year.

I’m also unsure whether all allowances are guaranteed and whether RM4,200 basic salary is enough for a Malaysian work visa in 2026.

Any advice from people working in Malaysia would be appreciated.
