My U1 seamaster 300 from Jason. Loving it!!

Hi all.

We bought a house last year with what was once a koi pond. The pond is approx 7m x 5m x 1.5m deep with a ledge approx 0.8m deep running the perimeter.

My wife wants fish and me being me thought to try and get the pond running well, clear and balanced for introduction of some koi.

The old equipment is there. A kockney koi 55w uv. (New bulb and not working) plus a rather destroyed filter box.

Anyway, was advised that what's there is not great so I bought an oaze 18 kit with filter and uv. Thinking it might be too small I had it output to the old filter box with some fresh matting.

6 weeks on. The pond is still green. This weekend I cleaned the filter (complete with tadpoles) and the next morning my pond was almost empty due to a pipe coming lose.

This might be a good opportunity to clean it, remove some debris and start fresh.

Any advice on what I should do to set up from where I am at and do I need a bigger filter? Should I increase the 18w UV for example.
