question about amazon intern interview UK
Hoping someone here has been through this recently and can sanity-check my situation.
I applied for the Amazon Data Engineer Internship in the UK at the end of March. A few weeks ago I got an email from a recruiter scheduling an interview, and I was told it would be **one 1-hour competency-based interview focused on Leadership Principles**.
Then a few days later I got a separate email from a *different* recruiter at Amazon University Talent Acquisition describing the full process as:
- **Technical phone screen (1 hour)** — SQL and Python
- **Two behavioural interviews (2 x 45 minutes)** — Leadership Principles, STAR format
- If both go well → straight to offer, no further rounds
So the two emails are giving me very different pictures of what to prepare for. Has anyone been through this process recently and can confirm which is accurate? A couple of other things:
- **No online assessment.** I went straight from application → interview scheduling. Is that normal for Data Engineer interns in the UK? I've seen a lot of posts about people taking the Amazon OA so I wasn't expecting to skip it.
