I have a high voltage power pylon on my land with an outdated wayleave. The electricity company have now indicated they'd like to change this to an easement, so I'm considering this depending on what offer they make. I've seen an archived post ("Offered a substantial amount of money by electricity company for Deed of Easement across my land for an existing 3 phase pole (England)") and some of the replies are advising to negotiate a 3-phase supply as part of the settlement. My question is, what would be the difference between negotiating a 3-phase supply for granting an easement for a 3-phase pole, and negotiating a 240v supply to my land for granting an easement for a high voltage pylon? I don't currently have a power supply to my land and would very much like a connection, can I ask for this as part of the settlement?? I realise they can't just join me up to the pylon. The nearest 'connection point' is a few hundred metres away and I've been given a quote of silly money in the past to connect.
