27M and honestly not sure what I should be doing next
27M, Moroccan, working remotely as a Senior Backend Engineer. I make around 40k MAD/month and I’m almost done with my master’s in computer science.
I don’t really have much saved despite the income. Most of my money over the last few years went toward tuition since my university is US-based and pretty expensive, and a lot of what was left went toward helping my family. So I feel like I’m only really starting from now.
Now that university is nearly over, I’m kind of lost about what comes next. Stay in Morocco and save? Move abroad since I work remotely? Eventually buy a place? Focus on career? Travel a bit? Maybe do a PhD later? I genuinely don’t have a clear goal right now.
For people who were in a similar situation around this age, what did you prioritize? I feel like I spent the last few years just handling whatever was in front of me, and now I finally have to decide what I actually want.
