How to Ask Boyfriend If Doctor Actually Knows About Delusions?
Hi there! My boyfriend (34) has been on medication for about ten months. This is a for sure, because he’s gained weight. However, I’m not sure it’s the right medication? He has as many delusions as ever. I (41 F) recently tried to broach the topic about how honest he was being with his psychiatrist about his delusions. He snapped back that being targeted by the CIA has nothing to do with mental health. I asked him what he talked about with his doctor. It sounds like he just talked about the stress of his dad’s long term illness and the stress of being his caregiver??? His dad has since died and I don’t think he’s seen his doctor since. How do I press that it’s really, really important that he bring this stuff up, even if he just mentions how upsetting it is to be such an important figure on so many government radars? How do you get help for people who are unreliable narrators about their own lives? I myself am bipolar, and he uses this against me to say I’m “the crazy one.” However, my mom dragged my ass to appointments all through my teenage years and ratted me out if I didn’t paint an accurate picture. I wish I could do the same with him 😩
My Name Is?
I really enjoy seeing people and their takes on others’ names. What vibes do I put out? I included a photo of my sister. Her name starts with the same letter as mine (if you pick up anything from her.)
