We Need a New Weather Station
We have had an Acurite Iris and Atlas for about five years now, but have been forced into circumstances that require a replacement for the Atlas. Our old Internet company was killed in the storms that hit Illinois (US) in June and August, and in changing to a new provider, we have discovered that our Atlas with Direct-to-Wifi Display requires something called TCP Port 80 to be open to transmit data from the Display to the app, and that very few, if any, service providers in our area even have this as a function. We will likely keep our Iris as it still functions, and we will survive the app change, but what new weather stations (from any respectable company, with data transmitted to an app, preferably under $700) would people recommend? We currently have internet from T-Mobile, so recommendations from those who share this provider would be a big help as we would immediately know it works with what we have.
