New EA ownership, and the possibility of an Alice IP sale

With EA having new ownership under the Saudi Arabia’s public investment fund, Silver Lake, and Affinity partners alongside company ending its run of being a publicly traded stock in favor of a privatized business model, I’d be curious of what this might mean for the smaller IP’s within the EA lineup like Alice and whether this ownership could create avenues for its sale.

I’d imagine this acquisition is almost solely about the sports game divisions and maybe to some degree the SIMS.

I have my hopes that Alice might go up for sale as a way to consolidate titles and maybe Alice Asylum could see the light of day. The Anri Gvera fan made version of the game had gotten legal pushback and development stalled but I’m wondering if this could create an avenue for it to resume

maybe we need to come together as a community and try to buy the IP out, we only need about 50 million dollars, it should be easy! Lol.

Although, If we could get American McGee on board it might not be as far fetched as it sounds with how big Plushie Dreadful is now… but of course this is contingent on if it’s for sale in the first place or if McGee would have any interest divesting back into the IP even if it were just to ensure its development goes to the right hands…

Just brain storming, what’s everyone thinking?
