Advice needed for starting out

Hello everyone!
I am 34 years old and finally in a position to start saving more for retirement but the amount of information out there on stocks and investing has me totally overwhelmed. I had a Roth IRA through vanguard from my previous job with $14,000 in it but the employer retired and forced us to transfer our accounts with almost no notice- so that lead me to opening an IRA account last minute through my credit union to prevent losing any of it. No clue if that’s a good place to keep that money or not.
I have an emergency savings in place already that I’m happy with. I have zero debit (besides my monthly car payment). I also have a HYS account where I have money for retirement sitting and savings I’m growing to eventually buy a house. Should I put the HYSA retirement money into the IRA? I want to add that I own my own business so I no longer have an employer offering any retirement options. It’s me, myself, and I!
Any advice is very much appreciated. Please be kind. I’m so clueless. 🥴🩷
