Skirt Steak too tough
I made a skirt steak for Faijas and the meat was too tough to eat. I got my ear from Aldi and I didn’t marinate it before hand like I originally intended. I let the steak rest to room temp before pan searing about 3 minutes per side. Then the meat rested covered in foil well over 20 minutes while I prepared my peppers. I thought I had sliced the meat against the grain. It was still pink inside so I don’t think I overcooked it. I gave it a taste and it was tough and chewy. I popped it in the microwave for about 2 minutes so it would be warmed when served. The meat browned a bit but was still tough.
I have leftover that I want to finish. How can I make them more tender if possible?
