For context, I live in a dorm and I have lived here for 2 semesters, these are photos of my hvac system. It recently got more humid outside and I noticed a weird musty smell again that hasnt been there in months, when adjusting the vent I saw what is in the photos.

Since its a dorm it could just be a poorly maintained hvac system therefore rust and dust, but the smell is what bothers me, it only comes out when it gets very humid and hot ie. after it rains then the next day is warm.
