Early marriage

Any recommendations for books where the main characters are married very early in the plot and they depart for the country and have to learn to deal with each other. Kinda forced proximity. I don’t mind if the couple know each other or not.

Bonus points if they have to marry after being caught in a compromising situation.

Preferably no kleypass, Julia Quinn (as I’ve read most of their work) or Mary Balogh. (Side note: unpopular opinion but I think Mary Balogh writing isn’t very good and I’ve dnf’d a few of her books).

Dual request….

Guys I’m going nuts with the requests right now but I have an it’s that only historical romance books can scratch….

Request number 1: brother’s best friend.

It’s a classic but I don’t see it enough. And I live the angst that comes with it!

Request 2: they’ve been betrothed since childhood and it’s finally time to marry. Think the swan princess…

I’ve read literally every Julia Quinn book. I’m not a huge fan of Mary Balogh but if the rec is good enough I could be swayed.

Married due to a pregnancy

I’m a long time lover of the pregnancy trope so I feel like I’ve read everything. Would love some recommendations for a couple who get married because the FMC is pregnant.

A caveat is that the MMC has to be the father.

TIA

Stop the wedding recs

Does anyone have any recommendations where the MMC stops the wedding. This could even be that he steals away the bride before she walks down the aisle. Would prefer this happens reasonably early on in the book but not a necessity. I’ve already read On the Way to the Wedding by Julia Quinn and I’d enjoyed this a lot so anything similar would be appreciated!!!

Elopement recs???

Does anyone have any suggestions for books about an elopement where the FMC is not kidnapped?

Ideally would love to read something where they have to elope for whatever reason, but are already in love, or even just like one another…

Feel like this is a difficult plot point to find!
