I got frustrated that every free BMI calculator online is either covered in ads or gives you a number with no context — so I built CalcSense
I wanted to know more than just "your BMI is 27." I wanted to know what that actually means for me — calorie targets, waist-to-height ratio, what the NHS thresholds say, all in one place, without signing up or getting retargeted forever.
So I built CalcSense. It's a free UK health calculator that generates a personalised report using NHS-cited guidance (NICE CG189 classifications, Mifflin-St Jeor BMR, Lancet 2025 WHtR data). No account needed. No data stored without consent. No ads.
It's launching in about 4 weeks. I've got a waitlist going if anyone wants to be first — happy to answer any questions about what went into building it.
