Keychron Q1 HE warranty issue – Keychron only offers a PCB instead of replacing the keyboard. What would you do?
Hey everyone,
I bought a Keychron Q1 HE directly from Keychron and have been dealing with a hardware issue for several months now.
The problem started around February/March 2026. I went through Keychron’s troubleshooting steps and provided the requested information and videos.
After a long back-and-forth, Keychron eventually offered to send me a replacement PCB.
The problem is that I bought a fully assembled keyboard, and I’m not comfortable completely disassembling it and replacing the PCB myself. I also don’t want to risk damaging the keyboard during the repair.
I asked whether they could simply replace the keyboard instead, but they now told me that the Q1 HE has been out of stock for almost a year and that they no longer have complete units available. Their current solution is therefore basically:
Defective keyboard → send me a PCB → I repair the keyboard myself.
I’m honestly quite frustrated because I paid for a fully assembled keyboard, not a DIY repair kit. I have also been unable to properly use the keyboard for months.
At this point, I’m considering asking for a full refund and buying a replacement keyboard from another manufacturer/store instead.
Has anyone here had a similar experience with Keychron?
Would you accept the replacement PCB, or would you push for a refund instead?
I’d especially like to hear from people who have dealt with Keychron warranty claims in Europe/Germany.
Thanks!
