Is college political now?
So for context, I was discussing my experiences of college so far and one of my coworkers, maybe mid to later 30s, said that college wasn't for him as he dropped out a year and a half into it.
I asked him something along the lines of what made him drop, and he said that not only was it not for him, but colleges feel too political now. I get it in a sense of ICE, LGBTQ, the literal government, and how we're involved in such foreign manners.
However, I really didn't feel that way? I go to class, maybe talk and hang out with my friends, and boom. Sure, a couple protest there and there, but how is that different from what we see outside of campus, you know? Please don't attack my coworker or assume anything, just wanted y'all's thoughts is all.
