Need Only NCERT For BST? (Class 12)

Guys, we only need to follow NCERT for BST right? In my school, we use Poonam Gandhi and in that book there are quite a few differences from NCERT. For eg. the restraints for the redressal agencies are 1 crore and 10 crore, whereas in NCERT it is 50 lakhs and 2 crores.

Just wanted clarification on this since my school teacher is saying to follow whatever Poonam Gandhi has written instead of NCERT.

LOOKING FOR ADVICE ON CUET AND BOARDS

Hey seniors!

I'm in Class 12 with Commerce + Maths, and ever since 12th started I've basically been grinding my ass off. My main goal has been to stay near the top of my class consistently, not just overall but in every subject.

So far it's going well in Maths and Accounts, but BST, English, and Economics are still not where I want them to be.

I've also started WPME and am currently on Session 9. The biggest issue is consistency. I know it's useful, but it's honestly so boring that I find it hard to stick with it, especially now that my school exams start at the end of this month.

I had a few questions for those who scored well:

  1. What resources did you use for CUET Maths? Which books, question banks, or YouTube channels helped the most?

  2. Which mock tests were the closest to the actual CUET level and pattern? I've seen lots of options, but I don't know which ones are actually representative.

  3. How did you improve your English vocabulary and language section? Did you just read regularly, use word lists, or follow some other method?

  4. By when did you finish your syllabus and start full-fledged revision and mocks?

As for my own timeline, I'm currently aiming to finish:

- Accounts by the end of August

- Maths by the end of September

- BST and Economics by the end of September

Do you think that's early enough, or should I speed things up?

One more question that's more of a "best case scenario" thing. Suppose I somehow end up getting both SRCC and St. Stephen's for Economics (Hons). I know even getting one is incredibly difficult, but if I ever reach that point, which one would you choose?

I'm more inclined towards the corporate side than academia. However, I've also heard from some St. Stephen's seniors that because the student population is smaller, competition for societies and placements is lower, making it easier to get opportunities. Is that actually true, or is SRCC still the better choice overall for someone who wants to go into finance or consulting?

Would really appreciate any advice, mistakes to avoid, or things you wish you'd known in Class 12.

Thanks!
