Lost 60lbs with OMAD but developed a bad binge cycle.

Hi everyone,

I’m new to posting on Reddit, but I wanted to reach out because I'm feeling pretty stuck. I started OMAD a little over a year ago and I lost about 60 pounds.

Looking back, I definitely did it the wrong way at the beginning. To force myself not to overeat, I would only eat a huge salad about 30 minutes before going to bed. The weight dropped incredibly fast, and I’ve actually been able to maintain the loss for about 7 months now.

Currently, I'm aiming for around 1,600 to 1,700 calories a day to maintain, but I’ve fallen into a really bad binge cycle. I find myself eating my OMAD, and then immediately raiding the pantry and eating everything in sight. I try to just force myself to sleep to stop the binge, but then I wake up in the middle of the night and snack anyway.

I think a big part of my problem is eating so close to bedtime. My body wakes me up throughout the night, probably because it's working so hard to digest a massive meal.

I guess I'm asking two things:

Has anyone else developed binge tendencies from OMAD, and how did you break the cycle?

For those who transitioned out of OMAD or widened their eating window to maintenance, how did you do it without losing control?
