DNB residents, help us out! 🩺

If you’re currently doing DNB in any branch, at any hospital, please drop a quick honest review of your institute/course.

A lot of us are going into counselling with very limited information, and the difference between hospitals can be huge even for the same specialty. Let’s make a proper resident-to-resident database and avoid making expensive mistakes. 😭

Please keep responses anonymous and factual. No need to mention your name, year, department, or anything that could identify you. Share your experience based on things you’ve personally observed, rather than rumours or hearsay.

If possible, mention:
🏥 Hospital + city
🩺 Branch
👨‍⚕️ Patient load / case variety
📚 Academics + teaching
🔪Hands-on / procedures / OT exposure
🕐Duty hours + workload
🛌Night duties / frequency
💰Stipend + whether paid on time
🏠 Hostel / accommodation
🧑‍⚕️ Senior-junior / faculty culture
📖 DNB theory + practical preparation
🎓 Final-year pass rate, if known
🚩 Major red flags
⭐ Anything you wish you knew before joining

Even a 5-line review can help the next batch massively. 🫡

Feeling very anxious since the morning!

I know I am not alone and a lot of people are feeling the same, some might be ahead of me in the race and some behind. Everyone has a different arc.

So coming to the point, the realisation has finally hit that I might not be able to reach my targets before NEET, I thought I’d go in w 2 cycles of revision excluding my first read but the reality is I will get done w my 1st revision around 10-12th of August that too if things go right, in my first read I had a few subjects incomplete but the problem is all of them are juggernauts like surgery, OBG(which I have mostly completed will take another week to solidify these along w solving 800 PYQs from these combined) other than these 2 subjects I have anat, ENT, optha and a few units like renal, GI, integrated patho and Physio left( I wouldn’t say untouched but I still have a lot of work to do w these) after these Ineed to revise Peds PSM and micro since I am forgetting them.

Also I barely managed to cross the 100 mark in marrow GT 16 which I gave about a week ago, I solve 100 q custom module daily mixed bag of 19 subjects from marrow w multiple tags and I end up getting an avg of 55%, I am planning to watch mega BTR from 23 Aug but I don’t know what to do in that 7-8 days I get in between after complete my 1st revision, I definitely won’t get time for another cycle, all I can do is to solve my bookmarked MCQs and attempt 2-3 GTs during that period.

All of this might seem good to some and some would say it is not enough but I genuinely don’t know that whatever I am doing is right or not? Or can I do more, I believe in Jo hoga dekha jaaega but uncertainty is affecting me somewhere, go ahead guys, I need something even if it’s validation or criticism!
