New to endo, looking for advice and tips

Hi,

I'm new to all this and have been trying to look through various posts about tips for endo, but I thought it might just be best to write one myself.

So, I quit birth control after 15+ years and have never really had a normal cycle that I can remember previously. It was fine to start with, but the past 2 cycles, on the last day of my period, I’ve experienced extreme pain and ended up at the ED twice. I’ve literally just been screaming in pain.

Between my cycles, I’ve had on-and-off pain. It’s normally just the last day and the week after where I still feel it, and depending on what I do as well.

All my tests and scans have been coming back with good results. I did have one that showed a lot of free fluid, but there was no explanation. I’m currently on the waiting list for public health. All the doctors and gynos so far have said it points towards endo.

Do you guys have any tips?

- What should I track besides the pain?

- My pain is being set off at times from eating too much, and now I feel scared about eating food.

- It’s sometimes being set off, especially at the end of my period, with exercise. I’m normally very active, but now I feel scared about where my limits are.

- How do you guys manage the pain? Do you take anti-inflammatories when you know you’re probably about to experience it as a precaution?

- How is endo between periods for everyone? Somewhat normal?

Any tips would be helpful. I’ve never really heard much about or known much about this previously, so any tips, tricks, etc. would be very appreciated.

Feeling a bit lost atm.
