Upgrade path from S12. Hype 4 MK2?
Hi all, I've been using the S12 for a year or two at this point, and am generally pretty happy with them, I did have one pair die, but decided to just purchase another one of the same.
I'm currently debating about getting a pair of Hype 4 MK2s, as I do think it could be interesting to see what more expensive product brings to the table. Admittedly, my headphone experience is quite limited, mostly went from original Chu to S12 and then ended it there for this time. I think I prefer a brighter tonality, and I'm not really sure if I care about bass at all (to be fair maybe just haven't had a pair that performed well in that regard). I have a pair of HD600s which I rarely use as I find them fairly uncomfortable and a bit less fun to listen to than these.
I'd be interested to see if there are any other options that I should look into in the sub $500 category, including open / closed back headphones! Located in the US.
