60-year-old oaken sleepers.

I have recently come into possession of 5 60-ish year old railroad sleepers that have spent most of that time in dirt under concrete slabs. Originally they were treated with diesel fuel (probably by dunking rather than paintbrush, based on the smell.

What would y'all recommend a newbie woodworker try to make out of them?

What tools would be able to get through them without exploding?

Dimensions: 12x20x217 cm 3/5, 12x20x approx.280cm 2/5.

Edit: I might be able to get another 2.
