New to homelabbing, Got myself a playtoy, what next?

Hey, i have been a lurker in this sub until now. Inspired by all of you, I got myself a beautiful piece of technology.

Specs:

Dell poweredge r730 16 bay SFF

Dual Intel xeon e5-2697A v4

32 gb quad rank 2133Mhz Rdimm DDR4(x2)

1 tb consumer grade sata ssd (x2) [couldn't afford more, will upgrade later]

1100w dual psu

Nvidia quadro k1200 (got for really cheap)

idrac 8 enterprise licence

1 gigabit 4 port nic

H330 mono mini raid card

Installed proxmox for now

Kindly review, drop advice, suggestions, what to run, what to do next, just anything.

Where can i get Dell part number 9H6FV (N08NH) cable for my gpu?

Hey, I am going to buy an rtx 3060 for my dell poweredge r730, from what i understand, i need this cable to deliver the required power from riser 3 to gpu. But i am unable to find the cable in official or refurb market, what i get are generics at Amazon which are quite overpriced.

I am based in Delhi NCR so any leads will be helpful, nehru place and other marketplaces are always an option, if you know a specific dealer, please let me know🙏

Need advice on my setup

Hey,

Want to get started with homelabbing, i have basic idea but never really tried things out.

I am thinking of getting a Dell poweredge 730 SFF with 2640v4.

​

How are the reviews?

Also in dire need of cheap ram and ssd, kindly guide.

​

I am purchasing in delhi and work in banglore.

​

Any expert advice i should know?

Also if possible, I'll try to fit a 3060 12gb into the chassis to work with ollama, still looking for a good value.
