BFR is so cool

Started using the BFR with exercises in PT and I love that thing. I missed having a sore quad and finally being able to feel like I’m doing something real feels incredible

Something positive (I think)

After 4 weeks of struggling to maintain extension and bend my leg and strengthen my quad and pain I finally used my leg without thinking about it. In PT we’ve been doing step ups but I’ve been stuck to 2 inches and kind of struggling with it. I was in autopilot mode after sitting on the deck. There’s a step up from the deck to the house that’s about 8 inches. I came to walk in and I didn’t realize I had stepped up with my bad leg until I realized my good leg came up second. I froze for a sec and did it again. It was super smooth and felt natural. Up until now I’ve had to think super hard about activating my quad and focus on everything I do with the leg and having something like a step come natural like that just felt like I’m actually making progress. Been feeling stuck. It put a smile on my face. Nothing else just thought I’d share, felt like a big moment.

Hey yall,
I had ACL and ALL repaired 17 days ago (quad graft). I’m kind of stuck at 90 degrees of bending. My extension is full but I can’t get past 90 right now it just feels super tight. Has anyone else had experience with this and am I normal? Just worried I won’t get full flexion later.

PT said the ALL repair typically adds extra swelling to the knee that makes it harder. But he wanted me to push and try for a little past 90 by doing wall heel slides for extended amounts of time. Just worried I’m going to get scar tissue and I don’t want to overdo and cause more swelling at the same time…
