North Arrow Design

I need some north arrow inspiration, wanting to redesign ours. We just use a "generic" north arrow and I want something creative leaning toward the old school. Curious what everyone is using.

Beta wrap-up — what you all helped us fix and build

Admins, please remove if not allowed.

A few weeks ago I asked this community for beta testers. I didn't expect much - maybe a handful of responses and some polite feedback. What I got was genuinely humbling, and I wanted to close the loop.

The app held up better than I expected, but you all still found things I missed and suggested things I hadn't thought of. Here's what made it into the build because of you:

Flashcard flipping - You can now flip a flashcard as many times as you want. Sounds small, but the old behavior was genuinely annoying and nobody should have shipped it that way.

Smarter question randomizer - Completely reworked. You won't see a repeated question until you've cycled through every question in that exam at least once. No more feeling like the same five questions are stalking you.

Better math explanations - Instead of just throwing a formula at you, the explanations now walk through why that equation applies to the problem. Big lift, worth it.

Audio flashcards - This one came from a beta tester who wanted to study while out topoing a field. She took the time to explain exactly what she needed, and that really resonated with me - one of the core ideas behind this whole thing was helping people use their time better. You can now enable text-to-speech on flashcards, adjust playback speed, and keep listening even when your phone is locked.

What I'm working on next

One request that kept coming up - a web version. A lot of people want to study at their desk without being "on their phones" at work. That's on the roadmap.

More to come. Thanks again to everyone who participated - you made it better.
