CFL rules in the US? WTF is the Continental Football League?
I just came across a league I'd never heard of before today called the Continental Football League. I think it's likely going to fold since most of their teams have pulled out since the start of the season but what caught my eye is that they play NFL rules for 3 quarters then switch to CFL rules for the 4th quarter. The idea being that players who want to go pro can get game tape for both rule sets.
Anyone here follow this league or know anything about it?
Chris Streveler YouTube channel is really good
Not sure if this is already widely known but Chris Steveler is doing game analysis on YouTube. Some of it is really insightful and worth checking out if you're interested in that sort of thing.
Here's the latest where he analyzes Toronto vs. Saskatchewan (Saskatchewan vs. Toronto? Not sure of who is "home team" here)
Request for pics/videos of the Mosaic tailgate
I'm really curious about the new tailgating experience at Mosaic this year. Can anyone who made it there post some pics and/or videos?
The Als need to be hyping the shit out of Alexander
DA has been a huge reason why the game day atmosphere in MTL is one of the best in the league right now. Beyond being a great athlete, his personality and enthusiasm on the field are absolutely contagious. They should be plastering his face on every billboard in the city. You don't catch lighting like him very often. I hope they take advantage of it.
Sometimes its easy to forget how good CFL athletes are
I've recently been on a kick of watching the EFA game recaps on youtube. I truly don't mean to offend anyone but those teams are maybe on the level of a Usport team. It's quite eye-opening to go back and forth between watching EFA recaps and CFL recaps.
Anyways, it's just easy for those of us who watch a lot of football to start taking the level of play for granted. These guys are really fucking good at football.
P.S I know it's not exactly a fair comparison since the EFA is largely composed of semi-pros but there aren't exactly a lot of gridiron leagues to compare with.
