Visiting / Scouting from Vancouver, Canada.
My wife works for a large visual effects studio and will likely be spending a few months in Sidney for work. While she's there, I'll have some free time, so I was wondering if you could recommend any great elementary schools in the Sidney area. I'd love to visit a few in case I decide to pursue a teacher exchange program in the future. I like schools that are
I'm a French-Canadian elementary teacher, so schools with a French program would be an especially good fit since I already have plenty of French teaching resources.
More than anything, I'm looking for schools with a strong sense of community—not elitist or overly competitive, but places with a dynamic staff, supportive parents, and kind, positive students. Those are the environments where I enjoy teaching the most.
We know Vancouver is popular with Aussies because of Whistler! 😉 We're not quite ready to plan a year in Australia yet, but we're definitely starting to explore the possibility.
