Hey guys

Recently had a cracked RF01 at 12 from stringing, this is the same machine my stringer used. I got a fresh new stick and started using this leather piece that fits perfectly between the grommet holes at both 12 and 6.

It’s 2mm thick and isn’t too soft or pliable. Would this be a good solution to prevent the same problem from happening again?

Is the mounting too tight still? I did make sure the knobs were turned just til the mounts were touching the 12 and 6 (snug) and somehow the leather seemed crushed.

I have no access to purchasing a load spreader or even finding a stringer who uses one in my area.
