Ive recently started leveling a shield bash pala and have been wondering pretty fast why my level 1 basics deal almost the same damage as my shield bash. Turns out shield bash is bugged and only deals 20-30% of its intended damage.
Ive tried a lot of stuff like swapping ability slots, messing with the skill tree options but nothing seems to fix my shield bash being a glorified basic attack.

Very sad to see Blizzards non-existant QA strike again...

Edit: it seems only the Smite node is affected by this bug. Most likely it applies the lesser damage to the first target too instead of only applying it to the secondary targets as it should...
