I remember reading this around 2018 or abouts when I was a tween. definitely a tween/teenagers book. no pictures? I got it from the library, in England so it must have been released there. it's kinda like warrior cats as in this protagonist cat runs away and joins a bunch of "stowaway" cats and they all live in a dumpster or something.

two cats (a white tame one and a black feral one?) get kinda married and symbols (a star and a moon) appear on their cat knuckles. feral black cat had all his siblings drowned or something but a farmer when he was a kitten??

book cover was a purple sky?
