I hate tow companies

As obvious as the title is, the towing here is so blatantly predatory. I recently moved here about a month ago and heard about this weekends halloween events, go there for a couple hours and have a great time only to see that my wife's car is gone and taken by on the road again towing. Now admittedly we were 10 minutes past our paid time, but seriously 10 minutes for a city held event is crazy. They even had trucks waiting for cars to expire in the parking lot. To make a awful situation worse these guys wanted 330+ for the tow. What a great thing to happen at the start of the month after all my bills were paid and I thought I'd be saving some money.

Apartment hunting

I wanna talk to whoever came up with the idea that $1300+ in rent and $300 per pet deposits was funny. Seriously though who are you guys okay with paying that much rent, I'm moving out of state and getting an apartment here has been rough, I either apparently make too much or the place is charging 1300-2000 in rent for a small 2/2 with soooo many fees. I'll take any ideas at this point

Background check

Hi all, I know this seems to be a common question, but I wanted to see if there was any better clarification answers. I was offered a position through talentsource and have started going through the background check process. They reached out and asked about a previous termination, it was for stopping a shoplifter, (stupid I know), does anyone know if this qualifies as a disqualification for employment with the company, this has me stressed especially when I was warned this could a few weeks to wait for an answer.

How to live comfortably in Denton

Hi all, for context, I currently in Oklahoma and recently got my bachelor's in Business Admin. At the end of August I'm most likely moving to the Denton area. As far as jobs go I have a choice of transferring locations with my current job and keeping semi-full time at 17/h, but I'm hoping to get a better paying job in a related field. Just to get an idea how much would someone have to make to realistically not have to live paycheck to paycheck in Denton with a two person salary.
