Question about discontinuing Prozac

Hope you are all doing well!

So some years back I went through a rough time and ended up stuck. Depression and anxiety were controlling my life.

After visiting with my Dr., trying various meds and having a somewhat negative experience I got referred to a Psychologist. We ended up finding that what worked best for me was Paxil (I know my flair says Prozac, I'll get there lol) and Buspirone. I was on 30mg paxil (split into 15mg morning and evening) and 20mg buspirone (10 morning and evening).

I was on this for about 3 years. Things have gotten better for me and I decided I wanted to try life off the meds to see how I felt. My psychologist was totally supportive.

We switched my meds to start taking 20mg paxil (10 in the morning and evening) along with 10mg prozac in the morning. Over time the paxil went down to 10 just in the morning then 5 just in the morning and now, as of a week ago, none. This was over a period of about 2 months.

I felt some light zaps for a few days each time I decreased dosage but overall it was pretty easy to ignore.

Now I am just on 10mg of prozac. I would have the prozac built up in my system over a period of about 2 months. My psychologist suggested that I can basically quit the prozac whenever I am ready as it is a small dose and I havent been on it for years.

I skipped today's prozsc dose (really on accident as I forgot to replace my empty bottle with the new one before heading to work. I take my morning meds with breakfast at my office.)

That's a lot of words so let me try to get to my question. 10mg prozac for 2 months after tapering off paxil to 0 as of a week ago. Can I really just quit the prozac at this point or will I be in for a bumpy ride here in a few days?
