I’m devastated

I lost two of my three innocent Welshies to a scruffy bobcat in the middle of the day! I caught the bastard in the act and was able to save one of my little friends, but he had already killed my girl and mortally wounded one of the boys.

I’ve had bobcats and raccoons visit at night and my ducks were always secure, but this desperate predator came in the middle of the day and cornered them in their kennel. They were always secured after dark and allowed to forage in the backyard during the day.

The bastard kept coming back all afternoon until I got it with a direct hit of pepper gel spray. When I brought the poor casualties to the humane society, who accept dead animals, I offended them by saying I regretted not being able to bring them a dead bobcat as well. Too bad, it’s how a felt and still feel about it!

My remaining friend has been staying inside the house the last couple of days with supervised foraging (thanks to kids home for the summer) during the day. I’ve shored up the kennel just in case, and I guess from now on, foraging will only be a supervised activity.

Missing Person in Rome - Termini Station, colisseum, Trevi area

UPDATED
My wife (52) and son (21) arrived in Rome early morning on Wednesday July 29. They had booked an apartment in Naples for 5 nights. They got to the Roma Termini station, left their bags in a locker, and planned to see a few sights in the area before taking a train to Naples in the late afternoon. They went to the Colosseum, and then on to the Trevi fountain. My son tells me that my wife was not feeling well due to the heat and had become agitated, confused, and difficult to calm down. She is diabetic, and it was probably contributing to her confusion and frustration. While they were at the Trevi fountain they became separated, and he lost sight of her. He called me at home, and neither of us could get her to answer her mobile phone (either calling directly, or with WhatsApp) or texting/messaging. He searched for several hours, retracing their route and in the surrounding areas. Finally, he reported her missing at the Trevi area Rome Police station at Piazza del Collegio Romano.

I booked my son for a night in a hotel close to the train station (hoping she'd turn up there). She hasn't. He's going to get some sleep and try looking again in the morning. I also since it was after hours, sent a detailed e-mail to uscitizensrome@state.gov since when I called the Embassy in Rome, it was after hours, and that was what they said to do on the message for missing persons.

I'm flying to Rome tomorrow, arriving on Friday about 1:30 in the afternoon. In the mean time, I'm hoping someone reads this and maybe saw her. Is there anything else I should be doing? Are there local hospitals I should be checking? Should I be pestering the hell out of the Police, or is that counter-productive? Having your wife go missing in Rome is not something I studied up on before now.

She's likely to be disoriented. I know she is not wearing her glasses, unfortunately. She can see good out of one eye only. She's originally from Brazil. Her name is Simone (pronounced see-moan-ee). She's 5'1" about 125 lbs, She may be wearing a hat. She has dark brown hair, shoulder length. I believe she is wearing jeans and a t-shirt. Blue ON running shoes with a white sole and heel.

Any suggestions or help appreciated! Trying to hold it together.

UPDATE: Early this morning, a hospital contacted my son. The details are sketchy, but someone picked her up on the street and got her to the hospital. She’s physically doing okay, but still a bit disoriented. They’re running some tests, and he’s heading to the hospital now. That’s all he knew, but just knowing she’s safe is a huge relief. Many, many thanks to everyone for the advice and kind words of support!
