My dog has broken one of his nails that was too long. Do I need to go to the vet?
My dog has broken the nail of his left thumb claw. Dew claw? He's already licked it clean, but there's this white-looking spot under the nail. I don't know if that's bone, or just the nail bed. Has he broken his bone as well?
My dog is old, has heart problems and can't stand much stress. It's also a Saturday, and on weekends I can only go to the emergency clinic which I can only do in emergencies. Otherwise I'd go anyway.
