I do not have much to say today. It was far from as close as it was yesterday. We have one seeding upset with Duvet taking the L against the goated Domestic Girlfriend OP. This was expected on accumulated points throughout the tourney and historical contests, however!

It surprises me that the Domestic Girlfriend OP always does well, while a great song like Centimeter from RaGF can't even survive the first round!

WHAT AN EXTREMELY CLOSE DAY! (lets ignore Hana ni Natte's crushing performance)

We are 1 vote swing away from 3 upsets and 2 top 10 seeds out! But this didn't happen, so we have to deal with 2 upsets!

Innocent Arrogance makes its third upset in a row, and its biggest yet! But this is probably the furthest it can go, right? It faces the no1 seed next..

Pokémon managed to catch all them votes, and kicks out our first top 10 seed in Hikaru Nara. Too bad, Hikaru Nara is a great song!

In the final bracket of round 3 we end up with 2 upsets. It seems that these latter stages are getting brutal for higher seeds.

Sadly, ALIVE is not able to continue the start of the winning streak start started last Best Couple/Ship contest and gets beaten out by Kaijuu.

The other upset, is one I definitely saw coming when reading the comments: Tsuyogaru Girl beats out Re:Re:!

Some interesting stats for the voting of today: Innocent Arrogance (81) vs Seishun Complex (16) is a large mismatch in seeding. Using our points system, which takes performance into account, an Innocent Arrogance win is actually not classified as an upset anymore. Did I jinx it now?

In the end, there were not a lot of upsets! One of the best Monogatari openings narrowly beats Kimi no Sei. Although sad we lose Kimi no Sei, Platinum Disco is incredibly iconic and a great opening. In my opinion better than one of the previous winners, Renai Circulation, as well.

We are voting for OPs this contest. But, as your host, I am actually someone who prefers EDs most of the time. My most 2 listened anime songs are actually EDs! Namely, Kimi no Shiranai Monogatari and Hana no Tou, two previous winners of the contest.
