I have a planned c-section scheduled for August. I have a lot of medical anxiety but one thing I’ve been telling myself is that having experienced something similar, I am at least a little bit prepared for how it may feel.

8 years ago I had a laparoscopic vertical sleeve gastrectomy (weight loss surgery). I am familiar with the post surgery gas and constipation pain, and having to get up and walk around regularly within hours of waking up.

My question is for anyone who has also had a VSG or other weight loss surgery as well as a c-section. How does the pain/ recovery compare?

I have a MiniMed 780g and as far as I know I can suspend delivery for up to like 4 hours I think (massage is only an hour so not an issue) but I read that massage can mess with blood sugar so is it bad to go without basal that long? Idk the longest I’ve gone is like the 30 mins I’m in the shower each morning.

New to pumps from pens and realized AFTER refilling my reservoir by myself for the first time that I was supposed to use room temperature insulin. I was METICULOUS about getting rid of air bubbles but now I am panicking. Can someone reassure me that they’ve done this and lived to tell the tale?
