Painting ceramics? Not able to fire
I want to paint a custom urn for my mom. I don't have access to create an urn, but I would like to buy one and paint it. What's the best way to go about this? Could I buy an unglazed urn, paint it, then seal it somehow without access to a kiln? Like is there a type of sealant/"glaze" that doesn't need to be fired?
Or if I find access to a kiln, can I paint it, and then fire it with a clear glaze over the painting?
Thank you!
