I’m heading to Japan and South Korea next week (Tokyo, Osaka, Seoul, Busan) and wanted to ask what I should keep an eye out for Pokémon card-wise while I’m there.

I used to collect a lot a few years back but only recently got back into it, so I’m still catching up on what’s worth buying overseas. I’m open to both sealed products and singles.

Main things I’m curious about:
Any Japan/Korea exclusive products worth grabbing?

Are Pokémon Centers actually good for sealed product or usually cleaned out?
Best card shops in Tokyo/Osaka/Seoul?
Any products that are much cheaper there than overseas?
Anything tourists often overpay for that I should avoid?
Are Korean cards worth picking up at all from a collecting/investing perspective?
I mainly collect for fun but wouldn’t mind grabbing things that could hold value long term too.

Would love any store recommendations, hidden gems, or things you wish you knew before going.

Just heading into Brisbane from the goldy today and was wondering if anyone knew of some good spots to pickup any packs, boosters, or etbs… would greatly appreciate any recommendations :)) 🦇

Used to collect Pokémon cards pretty heavily back in England a few years ago and recently got the itch to get back into it now I’m living on the Gold Coast.

Honestly though… it feels like a completely different game now 😂 Back when I collected, you could just walk into shops and grab booster packs/ETBs without too much drama.

I’ve been trying to get hold of some Ascended Heroes products but everything seems sold out instantly, overpriced, or I’m finding out about drops way too late.

From what I’ve seen, standalone booster boxes aren’t even a thing for this set and it looks like packs are mainly in bundles/ETBs/collections? (PokéBeach)

I’m based on the Gold Coast — where are people actually buying Ascended Heroes around here? Local card stores? Big retailers? Online drops? Pokémon Center?

Also how are people staying on top of release dates/restocks now? Feels way more competitive than it used to be.

Any advice appreciated because I’m keen to get back into collecting without paying reseller prices.
