How can I get my dogs back? Getting a divorce & I'm scared I'll never see them again.
England based.
We have three dogs.
We got them before we were married, 7 years ago
We had been together 10 yrs, married 2.5yrs now.
We purchased them with joint money.
Everything since has been paid for using the shared accounts.
I was the primary caregiver (in my opinion) and arranged all the appointments and food etc.
My ex was very admin focussed and so they are microchipped under my ex's name alone.
The vets account was set up under my ex's name but the notes had my name & my contact details. My ex has now removed these details without my consent.
They are insured under my name.
We are no longer living together and my ex took the dogs.
Ex says they can provide 'better care' but it's a biased opinion.
Ex says they belong to him now.
I have disputed it since the start and don't agree to it at all.
My requests to see the dogs are being denied.
Ex ignored my solicitors letter asking for access to be shared.
We are only just starting divorce proceedings and I want them to form part of the financial order when the time comes as I have been advised the law views then as assets.
My ex is not open to sharing and has made that clear.
I know my ex would care for them well, but so would I.
What are my options for both long term, and for the short term to try and see them again?
