I'm building a new web app for cabinet makers

Hi All, I'm in the process of building a web app for cabinetry businesses: procabinet.app

It would be great to hear your thoughts and any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

The key features are:

  • Cabinet quote builder
  • Auto schedule orders
  • Cut list layout optimizer
  • Stock tracker
  • Business dashboard

Some background: I ran a 5 man bespoke cabinetry business for 14 years. I used a number of different spreadsheets and apps to manage pricing, invoicing, scheduling and cut lists. During that time I itteratively built a spreadsheet based quoting system that I felt had genuine value. It took my quoting time from hours to minutes and crucially allowed me to delegate quoting to a remote assistant to handle the admin. Having closed that business I have now built this in to a SaaS tool.

Along with this I've built the app that I wish I had for running the whole business. In particular, a scratch I had never been able to itch was a scheduling system that updated automatically and gave me a clear gantt style visual output. The auto schedule works by setting the number of work hours available for each day of the week, then add a priority number to each order for linear / concurrent allocation.

The app does a lot more but it's probably best to see for yourself. I've built it to be as simple and intuitive to use as possible and hopefully using it should give you a better understanding of your business and enforce better workflows. I have a lot more features / integrations to add based on what people need, so this is literally just the beginning. There is a new feature leaderboard for people to vote on.
