Most military career-change advice seems to circle back to government contracting or defense jobs, and honestly, both feel like lateral moves that don’t really use the full skill set.
The leadership and logistics experience from the military should translate into something with more upside. Franchise models built around fleet management and crew operations seem like a pretty natural fit, but the question is which ones are actually designed for people with that kind of background versus companies that simply market themselves to veterans without having a model that really supports it.
