Just ranting/ venting: worked a shift in ED this evening with a senior nurse who I’ve never worked with before. At one point I catch them debriefing to the DRs about how they’ve heard from another senior nurse that they think I’m a poor worker and that this other nurse doesn’t like me very much. Then the rest of the shift I am treated like a second class citizen by the gossiping nurse and one of the senior drs. What would you guys do? It was extremely demoralising and I have done nothing but give every shift 100%

Hey everyone, I’m about 2 months into my grad program and was curious as to how people evaluate their progress? Ie whether they’re doing a good job job, are they learning at the rate the hospital / staff expect? Ad well as which nurses they seek feedback from vs which nurses they don’t.

Unlike the other grads on my ward I don’t have much experience in nursing prior to being an RN so feel like I’m playing catch up due to lack of experience.
