Parking spots
Lately I’ve noticed more and more “No Parking” signs on the main doors of old houses in Brussels.
What confuses me is that in many cases it’s obvious there’s no actual garage or parking space behind the door. Some of these doors are so tiny that not even hobbits could enter, let alone a car 😄
So how does this work exactly? Do people need some kind of official permit or license to reserve the space in front of their door? Or can anyone just put up a “No Parking” sign and claim the spot?
Also, is there any way to check whether these signs are actually valid/official?
I’m genuinely curious because I see this more and more around the city. And of course it's becoming more and more difficult to find a place to park my car...
