Motorcycle Maintenance for Beginners

Hello!

I recently bought a used Tigers Sport 660 (2023) with only 4k miles on it.

I have had it for 3 weeks and I have done just over 650 miles on it.

In terms of maintenance so far, I've built a habit of checking the tyre pressure (when cold) every week and cleaning the bike with a damp microfibre cloth.

To get rid of the bugs on the flyscreen (and my helmet) I leave the damp cloth on for a bit and then just wipe - it's been effective, doesn't leave scratches.

I recently spoke with someone and they suggested I should lube the chain every 500 miles.

In an effort to slowly start learning new habits to maintain the bike, what all would you suggest I should do - both in terms of how the bike looks and performs? Are there any products you would recommend?

Thanks!
