Hi Guys!
Just found my first letter to my girlfriend back then, now my wife, in 1991, as I joined my first ship as a Trainee Engineer. MV Hansa Economist was a ship managed by Barbers ' Ship Management back then. I wrote the letter explaining the ship's anatomy. You can see I am showing my cabin position on the superstructure there.
Of course, that letter took something like 2 months to reach my girl!
