What year did mod fashion end?

Originating in London, mod was one of the most iconic trends of the 1960s as it’s defined by its shorter hemlines, experimental looks with clean shapes along with vibrant colors, and a strive to appose the idea of post-war conformity.

It started to wan out during the hippie movement but still remained present by the end of the decade.

While this style carried some influence in the 1970s, the trend had ceased to exist, which is why I believe that this rebellious youthful look had transitioned out between 1968-1971.

What was the state of mod culture between 1968-1971?

Mod fashion as a whole was dominant throughout the early-mid 60s but I do feel like it didn’t just end in 1968.

I know for sure that 1972 was definitely “mod influenced” but it was definitely over by then. 1971/1970/1969/1968 however seemed very transitioney especially since you still have miniskirts, minidresses, white lipstick or futuristic makeup as a whole, pixie cuts, flip hairdos, and even colorful stockings.

My names Pierce, I’m 21 years old, and I am a catalog collector with about 9 different books in their collection. Including JcPenney, Sears, Aldens, and Lana Lobell. My hobby is taking the books under good lighting, snapping the photo, and posting the pages on my Pinterest to show people how people dressed in different eras. There’s certain catalogs I’d like to add to my collection but whenever I search them up, there’s none to be found.

I know they exist because I’ve seen the cover of the issue posted online but there won’t be any sellers out there.

Right now I’m currently scouting for a 71’ Lana Lobell spring, I have the summer but that one’s slightly different from this one.

Do you guys know where I could look to find a copy of this?
