What to do when hesitant?
Hi everyone!
I recently accepted a contract with Virgin Voyages.
I join the ship in a couple of weeks. It has been a crazy process with medical exams, tests and filling out a BUNCH of paperwork.
In the last two weeks there has been developments in live both personal and globally that have me perhaps wanting some perspective.
1.My former boss passed away suddenly, within 72 hours of leaving my last job my former department head whom I enjoyed working with passed. Leaving two vacancies opened at work and the team scrambling to organize and move forward.
2. As I'm sure a lot of folks have seen the infamous hantavirus outbreak has been on a lot of people's minds and naturally my friends and family are bringing it up constantly.
3. One of the reasons I took the job in addition to doing something new was to travel and we are headed mostly to Greece and Croatia. As of recently the US sent a military warship to Crete due to rising tensions with Iran which as we've seen the US has a tendency of shooting first and asking questions later.
All this to say...is the feeling of hesitation and perhaps fear coming from just algorithms or maybe I should go back to my old job and help? I don't wanna miss out on a new experience and the change I was craving but I can't help but to feel a little scared!
