History:
When I first got it it was a crank no start. Put a new distributor in it and voila. However it didn’t run well. Since then I have:
- New plugs
- Ohm tested the spark plug wires (✅)
- New MAP
- New ECT
- Ran a compression test (higher than rated)
- Redid the vacuum system (all new hoses and unused ports capped
- Deleted unnecessary systems such as the EVAP charcoal canister and cruise control (already wasn’t functional) to simplify the vacuum
- Deleted the IAB vacuum tank because it was taped up and likely a giant vacuum leak.
This did not fix my rich condition.
I then replaced my TPS and cleaned my IAC. The next symptom was a high 4k idle. After this I replaced the throttle body to delete the FITV (I already had the throttle body so I figured I might as well remove one variable from the equation.) The attached video was recorded before this issue.
As of right now it still does not run as intended. Also when adjusting my TPS I was getting between 4.5- 5V instead of .5-5V (closed vs open). I’m at a point of frustration where I feel like the solution must be simple and I’m just not seeing the writing on the wall. Please help!
