I’ll be 3 weeks post op tomorrow and I’ve been having pain in one of my incisions. Like can’t even touch it, it hurts to bad… so today I was looking at it, up close & personal and I seen what appeared to be a piece of skin (or scab) at the incision site… so I pulled it and it actually pulled out a decent amount of a stitch, I’ve tried tugging it a bit to release it but it’s not going anywhere.
Should I call my dr? Will it just fall out when it’s ready? It did bleed a tiny bit…
On a positive note, it doesn’t hurt to the touch anymore!

I’m 17 days post total lap hysterectomy, kept ovaries.
I’m in the process of cleaning my house, this is the second time I’ve cleaned it since I’ve been home from surgery.. I’ve been noticing, if I do anything besides just walk for long periods of time I can feel my vaginal walls? It sounds crazy, but there’s like pressure in there?? I have only noticed when I clean, grocery shop or walk for longer than usual. Is this a part of the healing journey? I’m thinking of returning to work 3 weeks early but I’m anxious to if these pains keep happening as my job requires me to be on my feet.. A LOT. (AT&T Sales Rep)
I’ve posted many.. many times (at least that’s how it feels) leading up to my procedure. My surgery was successfully done on the 17th & honest recovery hasn’t been so bad! I had my post op appt today and found out some shocking info! I have been knowingly suffering with endometriosis for the last 10+ years, my dr informed me my uterus and bladder were fused together by my endometriosis! Wow! Annnd, I had a benign cyst on my right ovary (for who knows how long.) it’s crazy how my body was literally wrecking havoc and I had no idea, shoutout to my dr for suggesting a hysterectomy!
