I applied to a school and I got asked for an interview. The interview went amazing. They said they just need to get through the references. They told me to list my current supervisors and their contact info. 5 days later I was told that the position was getting filled my internal staff members.

Do you think my admin said something to change their minds? Also I know that the principal of the school I was interviewing with is retiring and that a new principal is coming in. I spoke with the one who is retiring. It just felt like everything was going great and then all of a sudden it wasn’t. I also have no write ups or any discipline on my file. I’m just very confused
